Vigor Completes DSRA on USS John Paul Jones
Vigor, a Titan company, has completed a docking selected restricted available (DSRA) on USS John Paul Jones (DDG 53), an Arleigh Burke-class guided missile destroyer, at the company’s Harbor Island shipyard in Seattle. The ship departed Harbor Island earlier this year and has been undergoing sea trials prior to returning to full service. Originally a $131-million contract, the 18-month project supported more than 600 family wage jobs.

Vigor Completes Availability on USNS John Lewis
Vigor, a Titan Company, has completed a Post-Shakedown Availability (PSA) on USNS John Lewis (T-AO 205) at Swan Island. The first-in-class Military Sealift Command vessel will head into active service following the eight-month availability, as the namesake of the John Lewis-class fleet replenishment oilers. The successful availability adds to Vigor’s long track record of serving MSC at Swan Island.

Vigor Begins DSRA on USS Barry (DDG 52) at Harbor Island
Vigor, a Titan Company, has begun a docking selected restricted availability (DSRA) on Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Barry (DDG 52) at Harbor Island. USS Barry arrived at Harbor Island on February 5, and joins Ticonderoga-class guided-missile cruiser USS Cape St. George (CG 71) in undergoing service in Seattle. The $209 million contract was awarded to Vigor last year.

ASCE: Aquatic habitat restoration in Seattle provides home for salmon
From Civil Engineering Source: "Vigor Shipyards has completed a 3-acre aquatic habitat restoration at its Harbor Island facility in Seattle. The $40 million project reintroduces a vital salmon habitat to an industrial waterfront and will serve as a blueprint for future efforts to boost marine habitats in urban estuaries."

Jayson Robinson Named Vice President of Vigor Fabrication
Jayson Robinson has been named Vigor’s Vice President of Fabrication, taking the helm of the complex and marine fabrication divisions with facilities in Clackamas and Portland, Oregon, as well as Vancouver, Washington. Robinson joined Vigor, a Titan company, as the director of quality in 2018 and has been serving as the assistant vice president since last fall. He will assume the responsibility of maintaining and growing Vigor's highly-skilled team and positioning the company in its key end markets, including nuclear, aerospace, infrastructure and marine vessels.

Vigor Delivers East Span for New Jersey Transportation’s Portal Bridge Project
Vigor, a Titan Company, has successfully delivered the east span for the ongoing replacement of the New Jersey Transit System’s Portal Bridge. The bridge is scheduled to be finished in 2027 and will have a total of three spans when it is complete. The project will replace the previous Portal Bridge and will carry Amtrak and NJ TRANSIT trains over the Hackensack River as they travel the crucial transportation corridor between Newark, NJ and New York, NY.

Vigor Completes Work on USCGC John McCormick
Vigor Alaska, a Titan Company, successfully completed a dry dock and repair work solicitation on U.S. Coast Guard Cutter John McCormick this month, returning it to service ahead of schedule. The $3.65 million contract was awarded in November 2023 and represents the first non-emergent maintenance solicitation awarded to the Ketchikan Shipyard since 2011. USCGC McCormick is homeported at Coast Guard Base Ketchikan, only 3.5 miles from the Ketchikan Shipyard. This was also the first time a vessel of USCGC McCormick's class has been serviced at Ketchikan Shipyard, which is operated by Vigor and owned by the Alaska Industrial Development and Export Authority (AIDEA).

Vigor Completes DSRA on USS Tulsa at Swan Island
Vigor, a Titan Company, successfully completed a 13-month docking-selected restricted availability (DSRA) on USS Tulsa (LCS 16), returning it to service on-schedule in October. This is the second DSRA that Vigor has completed in 2023, and the third Navy ship repair project that the company has completed this year.
