McAlpine Lock & Dam Miter Gate Leafs

The Army Corps of Engineers contracted Vigor to fabricate two sets of replacement miter gates for an existing lock in Louisville, Kentucky. Each gate weighed 300 tons and was shipped in six sections and assembled on-site. The design incorporated several new components including quoin and miter block assemblies as well as strut arm dampening systems.
