Chris Palmer

VP, Fabrication

Chris has been a valued member of Vigor’s Fabrication team since 2010, bringing more than 26 years of complex fabrication experience spanning technical, operational, and leadership roles in engineering, quality, and manufacturing. In his current role as Vice President of Fabrication, Chris oversees all of Vigor’s complex and marine fabrication operations.

Chris is recognized in the industry as an inspirational, values-driven leader with a strong focus on excellence. He has an extensive background in the aerospace, nuclear, and infrastructure sectors as well as in automation, technology and robotics. Before being promoted to his current role, he served as Vigor Fabrication’s VP of Production for three years, and previously as the Director of Operations for Vigor Industrial Services, Vigor Fabrication and Vigor Works. Prior to joining Vigor, Chris was the Operations Manager for Harris Thermal Transfer Products, a pressure vessel fabricator in Newberg, Ore.

Chris holds professional certificates in Technology, Operations, Value Chain Management, Lean and Six Sigma, as well as a variety of other continuing education programs in leadership, problem-solving, and professional development. He also holds U.S. patents supporting complex bridge structures.

Chris grew up in McMinnville, Ore. and outside of work he enjoys camping, flying, motorcycle riding, and traveling with his family. Chris has been recognized for one of his biggest passions - volunteering within the community. In particular Chris’ volunteer efforts have focused on supporting women and children in need as well as vocational career development for troubled youth.
